Dr. Michael Allen was born and raised in Crockett. Dr. Allen graduated Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2006. He came to work for Crockett Veterinary Hospital in July 2008. Dr. Allen is a large and small animal veterinarian with interests in small animal surgery, both routine and orthopedic, and small animal preventative medicine. On the food animal (cattle) side Dr Allen engages in herd health management, lameness exams, breeding soundness exams on bulls, and cattle reproduction including, artificial insemination, embryo collection and transfer. Dr. Allen believes in promoting agriculture to the youth of our community. In his spare time you will find him spending time with his wife. They enjoy boating, fishing and taking care of their cattle.
Dr. Brenna Hanly graduated from LSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Though she is a Louisiana native, she began her career here in Texas and has been a local resident since graduation. Although she sees all species, Dr. Hanly is known for her work with exotic animals of all varieties. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, rock climbing, traveling, and playing with her many pets.
Dr. Tyler Mackey graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. He was active in the show circuit throughout his high school and college years and has continued that passion through veterinary medicine. He enjoys working with local youth on their 4H projects, regardless of the species. In his spare time, he sells steers and heifers with either Simmental or Beefmaster influence. He also coordinates a show clinic in Crockett to help local youth with their animals and organizes buyer groups to support them at the local county fairs.
